The NH Rare Disorders Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization working to ensure high quality medical care and a high quality of life for NH residents living with rare diseases.
In the US, a rare disease is any disease that affects fewer than 200,000 people. While each individual disease is rare, there are over 7,000 rare diseases which results in an estimated 25-30 million people suffering from a rare disease in our country. There are likely over 100,000 in NH alone.
Since each individual disorder is uncommon, there are fewer resources available for research, treatment, and education. Thousands go undiagnosed and untreated. By working together, we can help patients and their families lead healthier, happier, more productive lives. |

The wonderful people we serve!
We believe we can accomplish this through sustained, collaborative activities designed to:
- Educate a broad range of healthcare providers regarding the diagnosis, treatment, and impact of rare disorders
- Increase public awareness about rare disorders and their impact
- Support data collection and research to increase scientific understanding of rare disorders and possible treatment
Help us support people with rare disorders!
